I'm positive I'm not the only one to face this problem. I'm wondering if there is a way to get around this - there must be a plug in or a macro some third-party program out there to make this work.

I'm just not sure Excel for Mac gives you the option to use alt commands. So, I found an old Dell keyboard at home and I've hooked it up to my laptop. Mac does not let you use the alt key because it doesn't have one. The problem is, my personal laptop is a Mac. Alt+H+FF, Alt+H+B+O, Alt+H+I+R, Alt+H+M+C, and countless more orgasm inducing keyboard shortcuts get me through my day. You know the ones - the little lettered gray boxes over the toolbar.
